Our History
The very first day of car boot sale there were only five stalls. Three were belonged to Jack and the
other two belonged to some friends. People came along and had a laugh and some banter. After a few weeks a bank managers wife and a friend set up a stall too. From then on, week after week it built up form there at a steady pace.
After a while Betty saw great potential in a coffee dock that was in a little corner of the first shed.
Up in the early hours every Sunday morning Betty would make a selection of sandwiches. Bake fresh
scones and some buns. The menu broadened over time. Added was Bettys Coffee Cake which was
Bettys speciality and always went down a treat.
Over the years, what was once a small corner coffee dock, is now a fine restaurant and dining area
that boasts one of the finest equipped kitchens in Kilkenny.
